If it's such a "smart" light, then why does it let me boss it around? if it's so smart it would have left and started its own business and became the next Steve Jobs. when I tell it to do stuff, it doesn't even do it right. For example, I tried to get it to order me pizza from Domino's, but instead of ordering it like a SMART light, it just sat there like a dumb light doing nothing. I even plugged it in. NOTHING. Then, I tried to get it to do my dishes since there were a lot and I didn't want to do it myself. it doesn't even turn on anymore. Very disappointed

I have always had some smart devices and have had smart switches and plugs. This was an expansion to my environment and I have to say that I enjoy it a great deal. My only complaint is that the hub light cannot be turned off otherwise I would give this five stars. One can use voice control to set the brightness, group bulbs and ect. Also setting the colours was awesome indeed.

Love this system personally have 25+ HUE products from Bulbs to LED Strips the independent Hub you connect to your router is the best setup I've used so far why one of the other reviews gave it 1 star for that reason is absurd, you can saturate your Wi-Fi with independent connections or control it all with one connection. The Hubs can be controlled remotely or locally, also add more than one hub to a system to control other locations. Routines let you set and forget light times and even pre program semi random on / off times for when your away from home on a per room basis Google home is a plus for the Hue system along with Razor Synapse for gaming. App is easy to use and has quite a few options and Formula downloads from the Hue Labs gives a lot more customizing options

  • Do your research, please.

To the person who says this product is low-end and overpriced, please do your research. I have 17 Philips Hue lights in my house. This is the most widely-used brand in the “Smart Lighting” category, and is one of the higher-end ones to boot. While it's true that the bridge needs an Ethernet connection in order to work, this makes it so that the bridge can't interfere with itself, and provides a stable connection to all of your lights at all times. This is necessary for a good connection quality. Thank you.

This product does not have wifi connection with router, which means you have to plug it into your wifi router: low-end product, over priced
