- Rose gold finish is already wearing out after 2 weeks of normal wear.by eillehs

I have been enjoying many features of this watch for the past two weeks. It is my first experience with a "smartwatch" or fitness tracker. I purchased this watch partially for the look but also because samsung had great reviews for the swim tracking capabilities. It was amazing to not have to count laps in the pool, though it did not count my laps where I was using the kick board and not my arms. Cons of the watch: 1. The rose gold finish is already showing wear! At the top of the casing beside the band arm it is looking silver where the finish is rubbed off. I cannot/do not want to imagine what that will look like after wearing it for 3+ months. 2. Battery life is not stellar. When fully charged I was only getting an estimate of about 39hs of expected battery life. Less than I was reading in reviews before purchase, or promised from the samsung site (Galaxy Watch 42mm (45+ hours with typical usage; up to 120 hours with low usage).) but I could live with that had it not been for the finish wearing off.
- Don't buy for fitness featuresby Veeni

Don't buy this watch if you want to use it for fitness tracking. It does not perform as described. The step counter only works for power walking. My old Gear Fit counts 3 to 4 times as many steps in a day if I wear them both. My Gear Fit 2 cuts off after 20 minutes but still records more steps than the Galaxy watch! It also doesn't recognize and record activities as advertised. The battery life is nowhere close to what's advertised. Mine often needs recharging after 8 hours when I haven't used it for anything other than notifications all day. I've sent it for servicing 3 times and they can't fix it. They say there's nothing wrong with it and have refused to replace it as well. It's a lemon!
- Love this watch!!by Tina

I love this watch. i previously had the gear pro 2 and this one by far out does the old one. The features are great and the battery life is good to. I dont know what previous readers are talking about when you can't send texts because i have sent texts to a bunch of people with this watch. The only thing i have noticed is when im done being on a call, my spotify will start playing music but that is not a watch issue that would be a glitch on spotifys part that needs to be addressed, but all i did was force stop in the app and then it stopped doing that. As for it being to heavy i have a really small wrist and at first i noticed it was heavy but that is because it was something new and different on my wrist i don't notice it there anymore. For steps i use to own a fitbit and i found that one wasn't acurate for steps either. i could sit at a desk and wave my arm around and it would count steps and say i was up and moving when i wasn't. So unless these watches are strapped to your legs they will never be 100 percent acurate.I love that i can listen to music and talk to people on the phone right through my watch without headphones. It is a very pretty watch as well, and i love that it looks like a real watch so i can wear it with anything. overall i am very satisfied with my purchase!! I give it 5 stars

love the look and feel. great functions. tracks way more accurately than the fitbit charge 3 which I ended up returning. easy to read notifications for email/text/WhatsApp etc. thinking of getting if for my mom as well.
- Great Watch! Best buy ;)by Macy

Bought this watch a week ago and so far I love it! Similar to the comment below, the only down side to this watch is the inability to send texts via SMS app. You literally have to scroll to your contacts and tap a certain contact to send a message. I use Hangouts often and Whatsapp to communicate so I love the fact that it notifies you went you get a message and you can also respond with a quick "Hi" or "Okay". You can also edit your response to personalize it. Another down side is that there's not a wide variety of apps in the app store you can download compared to the Apple watch; such as Facebook or Instagram. It will send you previews or notifications from those apps but that's pretty much it. Overall, I love this watch. The fitness tracker is helpful and I love the bezel as well. Aesthetically pleasing and functional.

Bought it for my wife who hasn't worn any watch for years. She loved the look and the functions and she even wears it to sleep so she can check her sleep pattern.

My wife got this watch a week ago and it is working perfect. I also have the s3 frontier for overa year now and it is very good! Aside from the price, I can't say anything negative about the product. Don't hesitate to buy it if you digere the cost!

Got it for my gf. We were frustrated because we couldn't find a text message widget. After talking to Samsung, we found out there is only a text message widget for the LTE version. Surprise, Canadian carriers don't offer services for these watches so if you're in Canada, you won't be able to buy an LTE Version. The LTE version is not sold in Canada. For the version without LTE, you have to go through your contacts list every time to send a text. It's unfortunate that Samsung didn't include a simple text messaging widget for this model. Samsung did include their own version of Siri/Google Assistant. They call it Bixby. Use it by double tapping the home button. Unfortunately, Bixby is not able to send text messages. When I ask Bixby to send a text to someone in my contacts list, Bixby doesn't perform the task and instead says, "Contacts syncing."
- Way too big!by C

I was so excited to get this watch, but when I received it I found it to be thicker, bigger, and heavier than the S2 classic. The apps are also limited since it doesn't run Google Wear. Not what I expected for the price.

I am so disappointed beyond words. Despite its pretty looks and fancy app features, it fails on the most basic level. It does not count steps! Over 1000 step difference on a lazy day vs SHealth on phone which isn't even always on me. I am not alone - see 16 pages on the same issue and growing each day with no proper response from Samsung or solution https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Wearable-Tech/New-Galaxy-Watch-does-not-count-steps/td-p/384843. With much regret it will have to go back. My Gear Fit2 performed much better in the end at half the price.
