- Works with 11+ year old electronics as well as new Epson projectorsby David

I was going to buy the 350 model to replace a mostly broken Harmon Kardon AVR-245 remote. But the price was the same for this 665 and I notice in the comments I can program 4 buttons instead of one button on the 350, with multiple device simultaneous power-on activities. Multiple devices on one button wasn't a priority for me because I don't mind picking a device, one at a time, but after a couple of hours of experimenting I got all my combinations to work on 4 buttons, with this 665 model and I like the idea of one-press for each activity: TV-DVR, radio, DVDs, or internet/computer-mp4s. The backlight keys and LCD comes on when I pick up the remote and the LCD lets me see to pick individual electronic device/activities if I want, but I don't often need to. I did use the help screen to fix the projector-off double-press are-you-sure timing. The AVR-245 settings had a logitech presetting error regarding AM/FM/satellite as 3 buttons, but I could add a button called tuner and read in the button from the old remote. I am not stuck! It is a great feature. That is why it took me an hour to work out this one problem. Plus the software doesn't work with Linux so I had to upgrade .NET framework to version 4 on an old msWIndows computer to run the software. I am happy. I recommend this remote.

I've owned two of these and both shorted out on me shortly after the warranty expired. Will never buy a Harmony remote again. DON'T THROW YOUR MONEY AWAY ON THIS REMOTE.

have had this remote for years now, it works great and easy to rpogram, specially if you are updating from an existing harmony remote, you can use your saved configs in order to program. my biggest beef is the "clam shell" design which i guess is more comfortable on the hand, the big draw back is because it is round so tends to fall off tables , ledges etc ... i preferred the old flat type because it stayed in place

My wife bought this for 'me' on my birthday. I read some reviews and was skeptical. Pleasantly surprised how easy the set up was. Sure it was about a half hour, including gathering device model #'s. I think the only troubles one would have is not knowing those numbers, or what inputs your devices are using for your system set up. Setting up "Activities" is very important. Once done, I presented the remote to my wife (who is very none-techy and hates our multiple remotes). Her comment was, "we should have done this years ago". lol - don't know if this type of remote has been available for years, but her comment made it 5 stars. I'm controlling a Panasonic TV, Sony Sound Bar, Roku 3, and my cable company's DVR box without effort.

Makes everything simple! If you can read you can set easily set up this remote, if you can read you can easily operate. No more having to select a button to control surround volume or select different button to change channel. This remote takes care of it all. My third one for home upstairs/downstairs and the lake.

,,,,bought it, I thought it will be easy to use one remote for every thing, This unit has low resolution display, hardly 1inch squire, the text is very hard to read without glasses (40 years + ) , require knowledge how to use it, not a simple remote, Just bought it few days ago, can not say anything about durability.
