- Water Level never changeby Yuan Wang

I hope the manager will come here to read the reviews I do not know if I am the only person have the issue or not. I bought this washer back to Aug. After using this one a few times, I found out the water level never adjust based on the loads of the clothes. For example, when I washed a few pairs of socks, it gave me half of the tub of the water. Firstly I called Insignia and I was told there is a sensor in the machine and it will detects the amount of clothes and adjusts the amounts of water. Apparently the sensor does not work. They told me to call Geek Squad to fix it; Then I called the Geek and the first technician told me it can not be fixed. After I told him Insignia said it is just an easy fix. He said he will call me back, but he never called me back. So I had to call again. The 2nd technician called me and told me the same thing. It can not be fixe but only exchange. I can not do exchange because when I install the washer, I had to remove the door and frames of the washroom. That is why I asked Bestbuy if I keep the unit, can I get refund. I waited for a few day and nothing happened. I had to call again to repeat my story. The 3rd technician called me yesterday and told me it is normal, saying the machine needs a certain amount of water to run. That is I do not understand that why this high efficiency machine wastes so much water to wash a few of clothes. For me, it does not make any sense. I do not think Bestbuy will give me the compensation. If you have the same situation, please send me email email@example.com. We can work tougher to protect our interest. Yuan

- Works well, but doesn't clean as well as expected, and harder on clothesby A

I purchased this to replace an older front loader that stopped working. My machine works well, has some great features (delay wash, water-plus mode to use more water, extra soak, etc). Coming from an older front-loader though, some things are immediately apparent. It doesn't clean as well: I use the "water plus" mode regularly, as the default mode just uses too little water to do a decent job. Still, dirt and stains that used to come up on my old machine don't seem to here. I'm experimenting with different detergents to find something that might help. It is noticeably rougher on clothes: maybe I've been accustomed to how gentle front loaders are, but clothing comes out matted and some items have little pulls and threading, which was never an issue with my old machine. I still have a bit of a plastic smell every load (in the tub, not on clothes) that I'm a little surprised to find after several months of weekly use, but so far no damage or defects that i can find. It's a good basic machine, and does the job, but next time I'll be spending a bit more on a front loader instead.

Purchase this washer. For nearly 13 I had a Galaxy washer. Sold by Sears. The Galaxy washer was somewhat noisy. This Insignia washer did a good job washing, very quiet, and I would recommend it.
- BEST BUY geeks are worthlessby frank

same issue here----we bought the NS-TWM41WH8A less than a year ago, and withing the first 3 months, we experienced issue with loud noise. it so happens that the plastic covering inside is breaking up and pieces of plastic viable after each wash. The GEEK SQUAD asked us to bring it in and so they took it upon themselves to cancel a call we made two weeks prior. We have yet to get this resolved, stay away from best buy and their ridiculous geeks. we bought an extra 4 years warranty on this damn thing and it it is worthless if we have to bring it in every time we have an issue with it . best buy warranty deserves a ZERO rating . people buy extra warranty and its worthless
- Decent washerby Ashley

We purchased this washer (and the matching Insignia dryer) two weeks ago. For the price, it does the job. It's my first HE washer, so it's taking some getting used to. When you start a load, the washer begins agitating the clothes without adding water to sense how much water it needs to add. This seems a little aggressive, so I haven't tried anything too delicate in there yet. Sometimes it adds so little water that the clothes on the top don't even get wet - I've found that pushing the "Water Plus" button solves this problem, as it raises the water level to the one above what it senses it needs. I like being able to see the clothes through the glass top. We got an error message once when using the "Bulky" load option for washing bedclothes, which meant it thought it had an unbalanced load. It does seem to have trouble with large loads but overall, this washer has exceeded my expectations. I was apprehensive to purchase this product because it seemed too good to be true for the price but so far, so good.

Same problem, E3, brand new product, got it yesterday and went down on the second washing. TERRIBLE. Asked for refund but have to bring it back to the store by ourselves. Avoid buying this trash.
- E3 errorby LY

Same as other reviews, got the E3 error first time I hooked it up. Called Best Buy. Waiting for Insignia customer support to get back to me. Really hoping it's not going to be as much hassle as the other reviewers. Regret buying this product.

Finally got this washer hooked up and same as others on here, E3 error. Brand new washer and trying to get support is near impossible, would recommend paying the extra money for a better quality product.
